Abraham Benrubi stars in "Happy Town" on ABC in the recurring role of Big Dave Duncan. Previously, he starred as Ben Thomasson on ABC's "Men in Trees."

Abraham Benrubi prepared himself for an acting career by performing in his hometown civic theater and local high school in Indianapolis. After graduating, Abraham Benrubi appeared in the miniseries "Private Victories" for PBS. This led to an audition for a feature film shooting in Indianapolis.  Abraham Benrubi got the job, as well as encouragement from both the director and cast to try his luck in Hollywood.

Six months and a handful of television and film appearances later, Abraham Benrubi was cast in the role of Kubiac on the then fledgling FOX network show, "Parker Lewis Can't Lose." Following the show's three-season run, in 1994,  Abraham Benrubi was offered the role of Jerry Markovic, the admitting clerk, in the hugely successful medical series "ER."

Abraham Benrubi has appeared in several films, including "Twister," "George of the Jungle," Oliver Stone's "U Turn," "Open Range," "Without a Paddle" and "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous."

Abraham Benrubi refers to himself as a "total music junkie" and is also a fantasy/sci-fi/detective buff, as well as a fan of video games. Back in Indianapolis, Abraham Benrubi is one of six partners in the brewpub Brugge Brasserie, which specializes in handmade Belgian style ales, giant mussel pots, as well as classic brasserie fare.
