Adam Richman is the host of Travel Channel's "Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America."

Growing up in the food Mecca of New York City, Adam Richman began his love affair with food early on, sampling all of the diverse culinary specialties The Big Apple had to offer. From samosas to sushi, even at a young age, he had a desire to taste it all.

As an undergraduate at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Richman began a food journal to document the standout food establishments he encountered. Years later, after earning a master's degree in Fine Arts from Yale University's School of Drama, he traveled the United States satiating two of his life passions simultaneously: acting in regional theater and subsequently working in nearly every echelon of the restaurant world coast-to-coast. The nature of his work allowed him to feed his appetite for discovering the best local dishes across America — all of which found their way into his ever-expanding food journal.

As host of Travel Channel's "Man v. Food" and "Man v. Food Nation," Richman has developed a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of mouth-watering local specialties across the country. He recently released his first book, "America the Edible, A Hungry History from Sea to Dining Sea," which revisits some of his favorite food places, recalling memorable meals and revealing why we eat what we eat throughout the US.

In 2009 and 2010 Richman won the CableFax award for Best Host and was named one of Yahoo's "Most Fascinating People in 2009." He relishes the role that allows him to become his viewer's ambassador to all things delicious.

Richman currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
