Adamo Ruggiero stars in "Degrassi: The Next Generation" as Marco Del Rossi. Adamo's role as a gay teenager helped "Degrassi" garner a 2004 GLAAD Media Awards nomination for Outstanding Drama Series. Adamo has also worked with "The Trevor Project," an organization that helps gay and questioning youth.
In 2007, Adamo made a guest appearance on an episode of "Canada's Next Top Model."
In January 2008, he came out of the closet in an exclusive TV interview with "eTalk" and an exclusive print story in "fab." In 2008, Adamo began hosting YTV's talent competition show "The Next Star."
