Alex Cornelissen from "Whale Wars" is the captain of the Bob Barker vessel on the Animal Planet reality docu-series.

In 2007, he became Sea Shepherd's Director of Operations in the Galapagos and exchanged life at sea for life on the islands, passionately defending one of the world's last untouched wildernesses.
Cornelissen has been arrested in Canada twice and in Japan once for defending wildlife.
