Alex Pettyfer began his acting career in 2005 in ITV's adaptation of "Tom Brown's Schooldays," co-starring Stephen Fry and Jemma Redgrave. The success of Alex Pettyfer's performance in this classic television film brought him to the attention of the author Anthony Horowitz, and Pettyfer was cast in the title role in the feature film adaptation of his novel "Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker," as a 14-year-old boy hired by MI6 to become a teenage superspy. He beat out hundreds of young actors to score the role and starred opposite Stephen Fry, Ewan McGregor, Robbie Coltrane, Bill Nighy and Mickey Rourke.
Following "Stormbreaker," Pettyfer went on to star in "Wild Child," opposite Emma Roberts and Natasha Richardson, about a rebellious girl shipped off to boarding school in the U.K.
A former child model, Pettyfer appeared in a number of high-profile campaigns for major brands, such as Gap, and has recently begun to model again as an adult. He was recently featured in a Burberry campaign.
Born and raised in the U.K., Pettyfer currently lives in Los Angeles.
