Alike Boggan is one of the models on NBC's game show, "Deal or No Deal."
Alike Boggan is passionate about 3.5 things: helping children/giving back to the community, fashion, and relationships with family (The .5 is food because she's trying to make that a past passion!). Alike Boggan was quite the tomboy, participating in almost every sport - excelling at some and beating the boys in others. Except when interacting with her brothers, Alike Boggan was mostly a quiet child who entertained herself - so much so that her mother would check on her in her room to see if she was still alive! Alike Boggan is not sure if her quiet nature came naturally or was influenced by being in locations where she had to keep quiet. Alike Boggan'stime was split between places like dinner banquets, city council meetings, and breakfast meetings with her father. Special treats were accompanying her dad to the racetrack, eating breakfast at the Berkeley YMCA to support local charities, and eating a hearty IHOP breakfast alongside her dad and his colleagues at breakfast meetings. The dinner banquets weren't a favorite, but the food there often kept Alike Boggan's attention.
In addition to cultivating her love of food, these special times spent with her dad taught her a lot: volunteering one's time to a community program is not only important, but necessary, and adults never really grow up (demonstrated at the city council meetings). Alike Boggan's earliest introduction to the fashion world came from her mother. Not-so-favorite past times were those spent shopping and antiquing with her mom. Honestly, Alike Boggan says, for children, shopping equals torture. However, shopping was the beginning of her subconscious love for all things fashion.
The people and characters that influenced Alike Boggan's fashion sense were her mother, Punky Brewster, and Blossom. Although Alike Boggan didn't take to it initially, shopping is now one of her favorite pastimes. Reading, enjoying outdoor activities, attending cultural events, traveling, watching "The Simpsons" and "Sex and the City," organizing a concept reference book, and still eating (eek!), are among Alike Boggan's other favorite things to do. Furthermore, it was the fashion industry that brought Alike Boggan to the City of Angels. Her first year here, Alike Boggan was the executive assistant at an agency that represented hair, make-up, and wardrobe stylists for artists. Alike Boggan also managed a co-ed shoe store before venturing into modeling.
Alike Boggan's life goals are to own a concept shoe store for women, publish her reference book, create and/or become an editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, be a buyer for a prominent clothing brand, model internationally, host a fashion-related TV show, create a non-profit organization that caters to underprivileged children, start a family and own homes internationally.
