Alison Pill stars in "Midnight in Paris" as Zelda Fitzgerald. The film, written and directed by Woody Allen, is set in both the Paris of today and the romanticized Paris of the 1920s, where a nostalgic writer is given the chance to meet the Fitzgeralds and numerous other luminaries of the time.

Pill recently starred in "The Pillars of the Earth" on Starz as Maud. The miniseries, adapted from the acclaimed novel, also starred Ian McShane.

A rising star on stage and screen, Alison Pill was most recently seen in the off-Broadway world premiere of Neil LaBute's "Reasons To Be Pretty," directed by Terry Kinney. She had previously starred in the same playwright's "The Distance from Here," in its U.S. premiere, for which she shared the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble.

Her Broadway debut in Martin McDonagh's violent comedy "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" brought her a Tony Award nomination, and she starred on Broadway in "Mauritius." Off-Broadway, she was a Lucille Lortel Award nominee for both "On the Mountain" and "Blackbird "(opposite Jeff Daniels), and starred in "None of the Above."

Ms. Pill's film work includes Peter Hedges' "Dan in Real Life," opposite Steve Carell; "Pieces of April," opposite Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson; Thomas Vinterberg's "Dear Wendy," opposite Jamie Bell; and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," opposite Lindsay Lohan.

Television audiences have seen the Toronto native in HBO's "In Treatment"; NBC's "The Book of Daniel"; "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows," as the young Lorna Luft, directed by Robert Allan Ackerman; and "Plain Truth" with Mariska Hargitay, directed by Paul Shapiro, among other works.
