One of daytime television's most beloved actresses and a successful author, Ali Sweeney is now tackling the role of host for NBC's hit reality series "Biggest Loser."

Alison Sweeney joined the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" on January 6, 1993 at the age of 16. Alison Sweeney has taken her character, Sami Brady, from a rebellious teen to a devoted single mother with many detours along the way. Sami has tackled a variety of controversial storylines including bulimia, date rape, teen pregnancy, and capital punishment.

Alison Sweeney's performance has garnered numerous awards. Alison Sweeney won The Soap Opera Digest Awards four times (1986, '98, '99 and 2001) for the role of "Favorite Villain" and the award for "Favorite Good Girl" in 2001. Alison Sweeney also won the award for "America's favorite Villain" at the 29th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Alison Sweeney can be seen on "Days of our Lives" weekdays on NBC.
