Allan Louis on "Privileged" Allan Louis Pictures A dynamic and versatile actor, singer and dancer, Allan Louis brings his extensive experience on stage, film and television to the role of Marco, the chef, on "Privileged." Allan Louis was born in Haiti, the son of a Dominican tailor and a Haitian domestic. Though they moved to Miami when Louis was 5, he'd had sufficient time to soak up the rich folk culture around him and to become fluent in English, Spanish and Creole. After spending his high school years at the New World School of Performing Arts in Miami, Allan Louis was accepted in the B.F.A. program at Chicago's Goodman School of Drama. Allan Louis' stage credits include the role of Booker T. Washington in "Ragtime" and Emmett Scott in "Black Star Line: The Marcus Garvey Story." At the other end of the spectrum, Allan Louis donned a duck suit and sang "You've Got a Friend in Me" in the show "The Education of Randy Newman" so effectively that the songwriter himself told him, "You've immortalized that song for me." Allan Louis also played God in the form of Jimi Hendrix for the play "Amwrecka," and has been in three different productions of the rock opera "Hair." After regional work in Minnesota and Indiana, Allan Louis relocated to Los Angeles in 1995 and studied at The Actors' Lab. Allan Louis soon landed roles in the series "Martin" and "The Jamie Foxx Show." Allan Louis has also appeared in "Boston Legal," "Invasion," "Numb3rs," "Cane," "Days of Our Lives," "Charmed" and "CSI: Miami." Allan Louis was so impressive in his role as a tragic trans-gender character on the series "City of Angels" that director Steven Bochco called upon him again for a similar role in "NYPD Blue." On the big screen, Allan Louis appeared in the film "Stomp the Yard," in the role of Dr. William Palmer, the father of lead character April, played by Meagan Goode. Allan Louis currently resides in Los Angeles.
