Amber Borycki stars as Beth Barrington, aka "The Single Girl," on CBS's murder mystery, "Harper's Island."
Amber Borycki was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. The daughter of creative, adventurous parents, she and her two younger sisters spent their childhood travelling and experiencing various cultures, most memorably their time spent living in Bali, Indonesia. The daughter of a writer/artist/musician father and a interior designer/avid traveller/pharmacist mother, Amber's ambition and creativity were sparked from a very young age.
Her first acting experience came at the tender age of one with a role in the Michael Crichton film "Runaway" starring Tom Selleck, as the baby who is rescued from killer 1980s robots. From there came a 17-year hiatus during which Amber grew another 4 feet and found her way into high school theatre. Acting in such acclaimed plays as "Oliver," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "The Great Gatsby" ignited Amber's passion for performance once again. By the the time she moved out on her own, Amber had already found her way onto the screen in various local TV series, award-winning shorts, and several pilots.
Amber's television credits include such well-known shows as "The Dead Zone," "Supernatura," "Kyle XY," "Eureka" and "Psych" as well as recurring roles on "Aliens in America," "About A Girl" and "The L Word." She was cast as a lead role in the SCI FI original movie "Beyond Loch Ness" as well as in "Nightmare at the End of the Hall" for Lifetime. Her feature film credits include "Scary Movie 3," "John Tucker Must Die" and a starring role in the snowboarding comedy "Shred" with Tom Green.
