Amber Heard stars in "The Playboy Club" on NBC as Maureen.

On the big screen, Heard stars in "The Rum Diary," opposite Johnny Depp, as Chenault. The film is an adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's early, autobiographical novel.

As stunning as she is talented, Amber Heard is making waves with her captivating performances on both the big and small screen.

Heard recently completed production on the independent film "Syrup" starring opposite Shiloh Fernandez. The film is a dark satire about the backstabbing and corporate ladder climbing of twenty-somethings, trying to make it to the top in the soda industry. Heard also starred in "Drive Angry," alongside Nicolas Cage, John Carpenter's "The Ward," which premiered at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival, and the independent film, "And Soon the Darkness," in which she additionally served as a co-producer.

In 2009 Heard starred in the box office hit, "Zombieland," opposite Woody Harrelson, Bill Murray and Jesse Eisenberg. She also starred in the suspense thriller, "The Stepfather," with Sela Ward, Dylan Walsh and Penn Badgley. In 2008, she garnered attention for her role in the comedic hit, "Pineapple Express" with Seth Rogan and James Franco. Heard received a 2008 Young Hollywood Award for her breakthrough performance in "Pineapple Express."

Heard also appeared alongside Bruce Willis and Justin Timberlake in the controversial film "Alpha Dog," directed by Nick Cassavetes. The film is the true story of a young drug dealer who adds murder to his resume. Her first starring role was in the horror film "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane," in which she plays a lusted-after new girl whose life is threatened when a spurned admirer starts to eliminate his competition.

Heard was also seen in the Academy Award-nominated film "North Country," starring Charlize Theron. The film follows the story of a female coal miner (Theron) who files, and ultimately wins, the first major sexual harassment suit of our time. Heard played Theron's character in the flashbacks, which were pivotal to the story. Other big-screen credits for Heard include the independent horror film "sideFX" and the adaptation of H.G. Bissinger's book "Friday Night Lights."

On television, Heard marked her series regular debut in The CW's drama "Hidden Palms" as Greta Matthews, a beautiful young woman hiding a painful secret. She has also made guest appearances on Showtime's "Californication," CBS's "Criminal Minds," FOX's "The O.C.," and The WB's "The Mountain" and "Jack & Bobby."

Heard is originally from Texas and currently resides in Los Angeles where she is actively involved with Amnesty International. She also serves as the face for the GUESS Fall 2011 advertising campaign.
