Amber Smith from "Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew" is one of the patients undergoing therapy for sex addiction on the VH1 documentary series.

Amber Smith appeared on Season 2 of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," where she went public with her 16-year addiction to opiate painkillers. On the show, Amber Smith underwent a painful withdrawal from drugs. Amber Smith also appeared on the "Rehab" spin-off "Sober House."

After being discovered at age 15, Amber Smith established herself as a supermodel of the nineties. Throughout her career, Amber Smith modeled designs by Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier on the runway and appeared in the pages of "Sports Illustrated," "Maxim," French "Vogue" and "Playboy." On the big screen Amber Smith has made appearances in the award-winning films "L.A. Confidential" and "American Beauty," as well as appearing in "The Mirror Has Two Faces." "Def Jam's How To Be A Player," "Tomcats" and "How High."

Amber Smith then was cast in both "The Funeral" and "The Mirror Has Two Faces." Later she played the part of Susan Lefferts, a Rita Hayworth look alike, in "L.A. Confidential." Amber Smith's resemblance to Rita Hayworth came into play yet again when she landed a role in HBO's "The Rat Pack." Amber Smith also starred in the Oscar darling "American Beauty."

• Amber Smith has been heavily addicted to prescription drugs through out the majority of her career. Amber Smith hasn't been off drugs at all for 16 years.

• Amber Smith has never been treated in a rehab facility before "Celebrity Rehab" despite having two drug overdoses.

• Because Amber Smith's mother is a drug addict as well, she never attempted to get Amber help or treatment

• Amber Smith's drug addiction has been the cause of her career and life bottoming out. She lost everything and was willing to do almost anything to buy drugs.
