Jamie Lynn Ward received a golden ticket to Hollywood on Season 6 of Fox's "American Idol" and made it at least through the first round before getting cut. Jamie Lynn Ward auditioned in Birmingham, Alabama.  Jamie Lynn Ward told the judges that she lived with her grandmother, helping her take care of her paralyzed father.  Her father apparently shot his wife before shooting himself in the throat.  After this sad story, Jamie Lynn Ward sang "Reflection."  Both Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul voted to put Jamie Lynn Ward through to the next round.

Jamie Lynn Ward is 17 years old.  Jamie Lynn Ward was the 2006 homecoming queen at Rockingham County High School. Jamie Lynn Ward is from Reidsville, North Carolina.
