Michael Johns has made it into the top 24 finalists on FOX's "American Idol 7." Michael Lee Johns auditioned in San Diego. Michael Johns sang "I've Been Loving You Too Long" for his audition. Simon Cowell said that Michael Johns was like a "white soul singer." All three judges voted yes to send Michael Johns to Hollywood.

Michael Johns currently lives in Los Angeles but was born in Perth, Australia. Michael Johnsmoved to the U.S. in 1998 to attend Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton, Georgia, then moved to Buckhead, Georgia outside of Atlanta to pursue singing. Michael Johns began singing at the age of 5 and also plays the guitar. Michael Johns was a member of a band called The Rising. Michael Johns is 28 years old.
