Otto Malone received a golden ticket to Hollywood on FOX's "American Idol 8." Otto Malone sang "So Far Away" by Staind and "Hemorrhage" by Fuel for his audition in Kansas City, Missouri. Otto Malone auditioned on crutches. The judges sent him to Hollywood where he made it at least through the first round.

A chief warrant officer in his National Guard unit, Otto Malone was seriously wounded in the leg by enemy fire late last year while piloting an Apache helicopter over Musa Qala in Afghanistan. Otto Malone is from Tucson, Arizona. Otto Malone is 28 years old.
