Jason "Sundance" Head made it into the top 24 contestants on Season 6 of Fox's "American Idol."  Sundance Head blew the "American Idol" judges away in his audition in Memphis with his rendition of "Stormy Monday," easily sailing through to Hollywood.  Simon Cowell even dared to predict that Sundance Head would make it into the finals.

Sundance Head is 27 years old.  Sundance Head is the son of 60's singer Roy Head, who had a #1 single in 1965 called "Treat Her Right" that was knocked out of the top spot by "Yesterday" by The Beatles.  Sundance Head said that his father named him Sundance, because "You know, I don't know. My folks are hippies, so I  guess that's how I got the name. I don't know, it was hell to grow up with it."  Sundance Head's life has been centered around music and he can play five instruments. Sundance Head works in a machine shop and currently lives in Porter, Texas.
