Thomas Daniels made it into the top 40 contestants on Season 6 of Fox's "American Idol" before getting cut.  Thomas Daniels auditioned in Seattle after a previous unsuccessful two tries.  Thomas Daniels told the judges that he recently quit his job as a gas-station attendant.  Thomas Daniels sang Amos Lee's ''Arms of a Woman." Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul unanimously voted him through to the next round.

Thomas Daniels is 21 years old. According to a report from TMZ.com, Thomas Daniels was convicted of DUI in Clackamas, Oregon.  After pleading guilty, Thomas Daniels received a sentence of one-year at an alcohol diversion program and a $680 fine.  The incident apparently was removed from Thomas Daniels' record after  he completed his sentence.  TMZ.com also reports that Thomas Daniels was arrested again in 2005 for a hit-and-run accident.  Thomas Daniels is from Troutdale, Oregon.
