Scottish actress Amy Manson trained at Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London, where she was seen in a theatrical production of "Philistines."

On stage, she has performed in the reading of "The Unscrupulous Murderer" at Royal National Theatre, "Dis-orientations," "Les Belles Soeurs," "King Lear," "The Beau Defeated," "Orpheus Descending" and "The Merchant of Venice." She won Best Performance (Female) at the 2008 Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland, for playing the stepdaughter in the National Theatre of Scotland production of "Six Characters in Search of an Author."

On television, Manson starred in BBC America's sci-fi drama series "Outcasts" and BBC's miniseries "Young James Herriot" and drama series "Desperate Romantics." She also had recurring roles in BBC's "Being Human" and "Casualty," as well as the Irish series "Raw." Other television work includes ITV's "Agatha Christie's Marple," BBC's "Torchwood" and "Doctors," "Nearly Famous," "My Family" and "The Bill."

Film work includes the crime actioner "Harrigan," the comedy "Not Another Happy Ending," the horror thrillers "BloodMonkey" and "Pumpkinhead 4: Blood Feud," and the short film "Smile Emily."
