Anastasia Grishina is a gymnast competing at the 2012 London Summer Olympics for Russia. She is the 2012 Europeans bars silver medalist.

Anastasia Grishina lists her favorite events as bars, beam, and floor … so everything but vault? Despite vault not being her favorite event, she told the Russian Press she is training the difficult Amanar vault and hopes to compete it at the Olymipcs. "We're still not ready to do it onto hard mats…but I already do it in training."

At the Russian National Championships earlier this year, Grishina commented to a Russian newspaper that injuries have prevented her from gaining more valuable competition experience. "I've had quite a few injuries, so I haven't competed that much. I'm the youngest one here: everyone else was born in '94 and '95. I'm the only one born in '96. It's true I don't have enough experience in competition."

She says that it is not difficult for her to focus while she is competing. "I do hear support from the arena and from the girls, but that helps, it doesn't hurt. I can only get knocked off by my own absent-mindedness, or if I don't concentrate hard enough."

Her mother, Galina, is an accountant and her father, Nikolai, is a driver. She has three older brothers. Her brother, Vadim, is a master of sports of Russia in Boxing and has won several Russian championships.
