Scottish actor Andrew Airlie was born in Glasgow in 1958 and began his acting career in the early 1990s. His first few roles, though small, were in major projects including "The Freshman," starring Marlon Brando and Matthew Broderick, "The Crush" with Alicia Silverstone and Cary Elwes, and "Look Who's Talking Now," starring John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. Larger roles soon followed, including a recurring role on the series "The Odyssey." Airlie continued to work steadily, booking work on films including "Fear" and "Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco," as well as on series including "The X Files," "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues," "Millennium," "Poltergeist: The Legacy" and several one-off episodes of the re-imagined version of "The Outer Limits."

In the 21st century Airlie has guest starred on episodes of "Hellcats," "Caprica," "Fringe," "Earth: Final Conflict," "Monk" and "Stargate SG-1"; as well as in features such as "Final Destination 2," "Going the Distance" and "Fantastic Four." Additionally, Airlie has had recurring roles on series such as "The 4400," "The L Word," "Saved," "Intelligence" and "Reaper." In 2009 he starred in ABC's "Defying Gravity."
