Andrew S. Gilbert stars in "Please Like Me" on Pivot as Rod.

Australian actor Andrew S. Gilbert is a graduate from the Western Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 1987. He has been a familiar face on Australian television and film screens for many years, best loved by children for his role as Tony Twist in the "Round the Twist" series.

Gilbert has had roles in many iconic Australian films including "Kiss or Kill," for which he was the Recipient of the AFI Best Supporting Actor Award, as well as being nominated for the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards - 1997, "Paperback Hero," for which received a nomination from the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards for Best Supporting Actor – 1998, "In a Savage Land," for which he was nominated for AFI Best Supporting Actor – 1998, "The Dish," "Mullet," for which he was the recipient of the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards and was nominated for AFI Best Supporting Actor award - 2002, "Rabbit Proof Fence," "Dirty Deeds," "Ned Kelly" and "The Loved Ones," to name a few.
