Beth Behrs stars in "2 Broke Girls" on CBS as Caroline. The show, from writer/producer Michael Patrick King, follows two young women struggling in New York City.
Beth Behrs was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Lynchburg, Viriginia. She began performing theater at age 5. When she was 15, her family relocated to Marin County near San Francisco, where Behrs began studying and performing at the Tony Award-winning American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.). While at A.C.T., she performed
Behrs was named a 2002 California Arts Scholar in Acting by Governor Gray Davis. As part of this honor, she spent the summer studying with Academy Award winner Helen Hunt at Cal Arts in Valencia, California. Subsequently, Behrs was accepted into UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television in 2004. After graduating from UCLA in 2008, Behrs won the coveted Young Musician's Foundation Vocal Scholarship.
Behrs' training paid off when she scored television appearances on "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "Castle." She has also appeared several times on the talk show "Up Close with Carrie Keagan." Her feature film credits include "American Pie: Book of Love" and the indie comedy, "Serial Buddies."
In addition to singing and acting in musical theater, Behrs is an avid runner and grew up playing competitive soccer. Throughout college, she volunteered with Children of the Night, an organization that assists children who have been forced into prostitution.
Currently, Behrs lives in Los Angeles.
