Bianca Lawson stars in "Pretty Little Liars" on ABC Family as Mya St. Germain, the free-spirited new girl in town who moves into Alison's old house and befriends Emily.
Bianca Lawson recently appeared in the recurring roles of Emily Bennett in The CW's "The Vampire Diaries" and Shawna in "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" on ABC Family.
Bianca Lawson's first acting job was a Barbie commercial at 9 years old. She made her series regular debut in "Saved By the Bell: The New Class," in which she starred as Megan Jones for two seasons. She had a recurring role in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as Kendra. Having dabbled in both boxing and kickboxing, she particularly enjoyed filming the fight scenes for the show. She actually helped to develop Kendra's accent with input from a dialect coach, blending both "upper" and "lower" class Jamaican accents to arrive at Kendra's distinctive voice.
She has also had recurring roles in "Dawson's Creek," "The Steve Harvey Show," "Sister, Sister," and "Goode Behavior." She has appeared in numerous films, including "Save the Last Dance," "Primary Colors," "Pledge This!," "Dead & Breakfast" and "Breakin' All the Rules."
Her father is actor Richard Dawson.
