Brandon Bryson from "Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids" stars in the TLC reality series.

Brandon Bryson ("Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids") has been at Bridals by Lori for just a year, but Brandon's no fashion lightweight! This full-time worker/full-time student has a degree in interior design and fashion merchandising, and he's working on a degree in fashion retail management. Why did he choose bridesmaids over bridal? "I love color," he says. "When you go upstairs, you see a lot of white, ivory, oatmeal and champagne. But when you come down to the bridesmaids floor, it's a burst of a rainbow."

"You can tell a lot about a person by what bridesmaid dress she picks out," Brandon says. And brides have a lot of options. There are classy styles, flirty silhouettes—even dresses with a little sex appeal. For even more variety, look at the features: pockets, sashes, accessories. "A lot of people expect bridesmaids dresses to be boring and super ugly. The '80s ruined them for a long time! I like to put girls in great dresses just to let them know they don't have to look tragic on the wedding day."

Brandon has been interested in fashion since he was 7, and he's very proud of his "Best Dressed" high school superlative. "I worked so hard for that! I woke up at 6 a.m. every day of my senior year to get dressed." He grew up in a small Southern town (the closest red light was 15 miles from his house), but living in Atlanta now, he's got more access to great shopping. His No. 1 fashion staple? Probably a blazer. "I've got a Ferragamo one that's all white. I'm actually scared to wear it. When I do, I carry a bleach pen and a lint roller."

Brides love Brandon's theatrical flair. "I'd want to shop with somebody who's super fun and knows what he's talking about," he explains. And Brandon delivers. "These dresses are really important. There are going to be lots of pictures of them, and brides don't want to look back and regret them. When you're working with them, you've got to be professional and know what you're talking about. But you don't want the appointment to be so serious that everybody gets stressed out!"

At the store, Brandon's known as "PT Cruiser" because he's always cruising the bridesmaids department. "When I don't have an appointment, I go where there are fun girls," he says. That is, if he's not too busy checking his phone for Lauren Conrad's latest tweets. "She's so classy and successful!"
