Breaking Bad Pictures
"Breaking Bad" Season 4 has been ordered by AMC.
AMC's "Breaking Bad" is a dramatic series that follows protagonist Walt White (Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Gunn) and teenage son (Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to gain financial security for his family, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in this world. "Breaking Bad" explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild-mannered family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.
Season 2
The experiment gets out of control in the second season of AMC's "Breaking Bad," the series critics are calling "bleak, heartbreaking, shocking and bitterly funny." (Frazier Moore, AP) Bryan Cranston shatters suburban stereotypes in his performance as chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin Walt White. As danger and suspicion around him escalate on "Breaking Bad," Walt continues to straddle two conflicting worlds: a ruthless swirl of drugs, murder and mayhem on one hand, and a complex and emotionally fraught domestic life on the other. In the no-holds-barred world of Walt White on "Breaking Bad," the end justifies the extreme.
Gilligan and Mark Johnson are executive producers on "Breaking Bad" for High Bridge Productions, Inc. and Gran Via Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television. AMC's Joel Stillerman, SVP of original programming, production and digital content; Christina Wayne, SVP of scripted series and mini-series; and Vlad Wolynetz, VP of production, series and movies, oversee development and production of "Breaking Bad" for the network.
