O'Byrne stars as Aaron Stark on ABC's "FlashForward." Tony Award-winning Irish actor Brían F. O'Byrne (pronounced BREE-AN F. OH-BURN) recently starred in "The International," opposite Clive Owen and directed by Tom Tykwer. Brían F. O'Byrne also co-starred in Antoine Fuqua's soon-to-be-released "Brooklyn's Finest" and Terrence Malick's highly-anticipated "Tree of Life." Other recent film appearances for Brían F. O'Byrne include "No Reservations," opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Sidney Lumet's "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead," opposite Ethan Hawke. Lumet's film was recognized by the Broadcast Film Critics (Critics Choice Awards), the Boston Society of Film Critics, the New York Online Film Critics and at The Gotham Awards for the Best Ensemble Cast. Prior to that Brían F. O'Byrne chilled audiences in William Friedkin's adaptation of the off-Broadway play "Bug," opposite Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon. Brían F. O'Byrne also appeared in Terrence Malick's "The New World," opposite Colin Farrell, Clint Eastwood's Oscar-winning "Million Dollar Baby," two films for Barry Levinson—"Bandits" and "An Everlasting Piece"—and Tim Blake Nelson's "The Grey Zone." On television Brían F. O'Byrne appeared as a regular in the critically acclaimed Showtime series, "Brotherhood." Other television credits for Brían F. O'Byrne include the Hallmark Hall of Fame production of "Blackwater Lightship," HBO's "Oz" and "Law & Order: SVU." In 2007 Brían F. O'Byrne starred as the title character in the docudrama "Alexander Hamilton" as part of PBS' award-winning "American Experience" series. On Broadway Brían F. O'Byrne most recently starred in Tom Stoppard's groundbreaking trilogy, "The Coast of Utopia," directed by Jack O'Brien, opposite Ethan Hawke and Billy Crudup. For his portrayal of the play's central figure, he received his fifth Tony nomination (Best Actor in a Play). Brían F. O'Byrne has received Tony nominations for "The Lonesome West," "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" and "Doubt," and won the Tony for his portrayal of a murderous pedophile in 2004's "Frozen." Prior to "The Coast of Utopia," Brían F. O'Byrne starred opposite Oliver Platt in the Broadway production of "Shining City," directed by Robert Falls for the Manhattan Theatre Club. Brían F. O'Byrne received his fourth consecutive Drama Desk Award nomination for "The Coast of Utopia," won the award for "Doubt," and is also the recipient of the Outer Critics Circle Award for "Doubt," as well as the Obie Award and the Lucille Lortel Award for "Frozen." Brían F. O'Byrne credits his training at the Samuel Beckett Center, Trinity College in Dublin for his many successes.
