Brian Tyree Henry stars in "Atlanta" on FX as Alfred Miles.

Brian Tyree Henry previously had a recurring role on HBO's "Vice Principals." He has also made guest appearances in Cinemax's drama series "The Knick," HBO's "Boardwalk Empire," CBS's "The Good Wife" and NBC's "Law & Order."

On the big screen, Henry was seen in "Puerto Ricans in Paris" and "My America."

Henry's numerous theater credits include the origination of the role of General in Broadway's "Book of Mormon." Off-Broadway credits include "Romeo and Juliet" at the New York Shakespeare Festival, "The Brothers Size" at the Public Theater, and "The Fortress of Solitude." He received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Best Lead Actor in 2008 for his performance in "The Brothers Size" at the Studio Theatre in Washington, D.C.

Henry earned his Masters in Acting from the Yale School of Drama in 2007.
