Bryce Dallas Howard stars in "The Help," opposite Emma Stone and Viola Davis, as the villainous Hilly Holbrook. Howard also stars in Jonathan Levine's comedy "50/50," opposite Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Bryce Dallas Howard is one of Hollywood's most versatile and dynamic talents both on screen and behind the camera. She starred as Kate Connor in McG's "Terminator Salvation" in 2009 and earned a Golden Globe Award nomination in 2008 for her performance as Rosalind in Kenneth Branagh's HBO adaptation of Shakespeare's classic "As You Like It," opposite Kevin Kline and Alfred Molina. Bryce Dallas Howard more recently starred opposite Matt Damon in the movie "Hereafter," opposite Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," and the film adaptation of the Tennessee Williams play "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond," with Chris Evans, Will Patton and Mamie Gummer.

Howard's additional film credits include Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 3," in the role of Gwen Stacy; the M. Night Shyamalan film "Lady in the Water," opposite Paul Giamatti; and "Manderlay," the follow-up to Lars von Trier's "Dogville," opposite Willem Dafoe and Danny Glover. "Manderlay" premiered at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. Bryce Dallas Howard had made her major feature film debut starring in M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village," with Adrien Brody, Joaquin Phoenix and Sigourney Weaver.

Behind the camera, Bryce Dallas Howard made her directorial debut in 2006 with the short film "Orchids," a project she took on as part of Glamour magazine's "Reel Moments" program. She also produced Gus Van Sant's soon to be released "Restless" and currently has a feature in development as a screenwriter.

Bryce Dallas Howard studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts before beginning her career on the New York stage. Bryce Dallas Howard's theater credits include the role of Marianne in the Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway production of "Tartuffe"; the Public Theatre's production of "As You Like It," as Rosalind; the Manhattan Theatre Club's presentation of Alan Ayckbourn's "House/Garden," playing Sally Platt; and the part of Emily in the Bay Street Theatre Festival production of "Our Town."

Howard currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Seth Gabel, and their son, Theo.

Howard is the daughter of director Ron Howard.
