Chantelle Chung stars as Ophelia Burroughs on ABC Family's "Sophie." Ophelia is the adopted teenage daughter of Estelle. Older than her years, Ophelia does not put up with all of Estelle's ridiculousness and will be the first to say whatever is on her mind.
Fifteen year-old Chantelle Chung began her acting career several years ago after a talent agent, who happened to be a patient of Chung's optometrist parents, suggested that she would do well in the world of commercials and film. Chung is a tenth grade student who gained her early acting experience appearing in television commercials and was recently featured as Kimmy Song in Global's series "The Best Years." The role of Ophelia in "Sophie" is her first major role and she has worked hard to balance the commute to Montreal to shoot the series with the busy life of an honors high school student in her home town of Toronto.
An avid circus enthusiast, she trains at The Toronto School of Circus Arts and her favorite apparatus is silks.
