Charlie Cox stars in "Boardwalk Empire" in the recurring role of Owen Slater. He also stars in Encore's miniseries "Moby Dick," alongside William Hurt, Ethan Hawke and Gillian Anderson, as Ishmael.

Charlie Cox may be best known for playing the lead role of Tristan Thorn in Matthew Vaughn's "Stardust" in 2007, adapted from the Neil Gaiman book. More recently he starred in the independent movie "There Be Dragons," alongside Wes Bentley and Dougray Scott, and the action comedy "Stone of Destiny," with Robert Carlyle.

Cox was born in London in 1982 and received his training at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He made his film debut in Matthew Parkhill's "Dot the I," starring alongside Gael García Bernal and Tom Hardy. Which received rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival.

His other film credits include "Things to Do Before You're 30," with Dougray Scott; "The Merchant of Venice," with Al Pacino; "Casanova," starring Heath Ledger and Sienna Miller; and "Glorious 39," alongside Bill Nighy and Julie Christie.
