Cheech Marin stars in "¡ROB!" on CBS as Fernando. He is also one of the contestants in Food Network's "Rachael vs. Cheech Celebrity Cook-Off" and recently provided the voice of Ramone in Disney • Pixar's animated movie "Cars 2."

Best known as one-half of the hilarious, irreverent, counter-cultural comedy duo Cheech and Chong, Cheech Marin is a paradox in the world of entertainment. He is an actor, director, writer, musician, and humanitarian. To this day, Cheech and Chong remains an iconic comedy act, and Marin is widely acknowledged as a cultural icon.

After they found acclaim with their stage act, the critically acclaimed duo made a smooth, fluid transition to films, starring in eight features together. The first, "Up in Smoke," was the highest-grossing comedy of 1978, topping one hundred million at the box office. The two of them co-wrote all of the films, with Chong receiving sole directing credit for several, despite Marin's uncredited co-direction. They also made numerous guest appearances, including one in Martin Scorcese's "After Hours." In 2005, Cheech and Chong reuinted for the first time in more than a decade, where they were honored at teh Aspen Comedy Festival.

After first splitting with Chong, Marin has found great solo acting success. He has appeared in more than twenty films, including his scene-stealing role in "Tin Cup," and roles in six of Robert Rodriguez's movies. He also played alongside Johnny Depp in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico." On the small screen, he has appeared on numerous TV shows, including "The Golden Palace," "Nash Bridges," "Judging Amy," and a recurring role on the iconic ABC series "Lost."

More recent film credits include "The Perfect Game," "Beverly Hills Chihuahua," and "Race to Witch Mountain." Also a popular voice actor, he has appeared in "The Lion King" and the original "Cars."

Marin is also a philanthropist, a huge promoter and collector of Chicano art, and a nationally ranked golfer active i the charity golf circuit. He has a line of gourmet hot sauces that are sold nationwide, and is married to the Russian-born classical pianist Natasha Marin.
