Here is an interview with Chehon:

Do you have a nickname?

Che (Key)

Do you have any formal dance training?

Classical Ballet (The Royal Ballet School, London)

At what age did you first start to dance?

When I was 13. I started taking kids movement classes around the age of 11 and began taking ballet lessons at age 13.

What other training/talents do you have?

I think choreographing is a big talent of mine and is something I hope to pursue alongside my dancing career. I like to compose music and used to play the violin intensely before starting ballet.

What was your reaction to becoming a "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant?

Complete shock and disbelief. All that went through my head was "I hope my family can get to see me perform on TV."

What would people be most surprised to learn about you?

I learn and memorize through colors. I had a lot of learning difficulties when I was in school (especially math) until I found out ways for me to associate numbers, music notes and dance steps with colors.

Which choreographer do you look forward to working with?

I'm excited and hope to work with Sonya Tayeh, Mia Michaels and Travis Wall.

Which dancer from another season were you the most inspired by?

Melanie Moore
