Chip Gaines hosts HGTV's home renovation series "Fixer Upper" along with his wife Joanna Gaines.

Chip Gaines is quick to win others over with his endearing charm and endless monologues. He graduated from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business with a marketing degree. An entrepreneur by nature, he has started more businesses than you could count on both hands, including Green and Gold Wash and Fold, a college student laundry service, and multiple landscape companies. If you've thought about it, Chip's probably done it.

Growing up visiting his granddad on his ranch in North Texas, Chip became a true cowboy at heart. He was made for hard labor and always preferred digging ditches to academic pursuits. Chip loves life with his four kiddos and is head over heels for Joanna. Hand in hand is exactly how Chip prefers to work and he enjoys watching his and Joanna's passions merge to compliment and serve each other.

Chip manages the construction and realty side of Magnolia. He leads the team from one idea to the next and his pep talks are football locker room worthy. He has 15 years of experience in the field and has remodeled hundreds of homes in the area. His design preference is whatever Joanna likes, with some "creative solutions" to help make the impossible possible. To say he adds comic relief to the team would be an understatement; he keeps us rolling but also on our toes.
