Chris Torres ("NY Ink") is a tattoo artist who works for Ami James at the Wooster Street Social Club in New York City. Torres was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides. He has been tattooing professionally since 1996. He has worked at many shops throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. He owned and worked out of a shop called Alphabet City Studios on Avenue A from 1998–2003.
Torres was an illustration major for two years at F.I.T., and is licensed by the New York Dept. of Health. He specializes in custom work and lettering.
