Chris Wragge is the co-anchor of CBS's "The Early Show."

Chris Wragge also serves as co-anchor of CBS 2 News at 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. weekdays with Kristine Johnson. In that role, he has covered many important stories, including President Gerald R. Ford's funeral and George W. Bush's 2008 State of the Union address.

He joined WCBS-TV, the CBS affiliate in New York City, in 2004, as the 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. weekday sports anchor and sports director. In that role, he hosted the NFL pre-game show "Sunday Blitz," as well as "Sports Sunday," which earned two New York State Broadcasters Association Awards and three Emmy Award nominations. Wragge's duties also extended to CBS Sports, where he was one of the hosts of the "AT&T Sportsdesk."

Prior to joining CBS, Wragge served as the sports director for KPRC-TV Houston, the NBC affiliate, and as a reporter for NBC Sports (2000-04). At the network, he served as a sideline reporter for the NBA, a studio host of "Sun America Sportsdesk" and, most notably, a reporter for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, where he joined hosts Katie Couric, Bob Costas and Jim McKay on the Opening Ceremony broadcast. He also covered Notre Dame football, the WNBA, the Professional Bull Riders and the American Century Celebrity Golf Tour for NBC Sports. He covered the PGA Tour and was the on-site reporter for USA Network's "PGA Tour Sunday" (2002-06).

Wragge served as a correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight," where he covered the red carpets of the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards and major movie premieres (1996-2000). He traveled the country as a host and reporter for The Travel Channel, HGTV and the DIY Network (2000-04). Wragge was the weekend sports anchor at WVIT-TV Hartford, Connecticut. (1994-96) and began his career as a morning sports anchor at WMUR-TV Manchester, New Hampshire (1992-94).

Wragge was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. He attended college on a football scholarship and was graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 with a degree in English. He resides in Manhattan.
