Christian Clemenson stars as Jerry "Hands" Espenson on ABC's "Boston Legal." For his role as Jerry "Hands" Espenson on "Boston Legal," Christian Clemenson recently won the 2006 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. In addition, Christian Clemenson received stellar reviews for his role as Thomas Burnett in the film "United 93." Christian Clemenson was born in Humboldt, Iowa and was a paper boy for the Des Moines Register newspaper, which awarded him a scholarship to attend the Phillips Academy in Massachusetts. During that time, Christian Clemenson was inspired by the theatre and appeared in several local summer productions at the Castle Theatre in Iowa. His first play was "Hansel & Gretel," and although the first performance was dampened by a thunderous downpour, Christian Clemenson's interest in the theatre took storm. Numerous productions followed, including starring and directing in "Wait Until Dark." After receiving a degree from Harvard and graduating from Yale's prestigious Drama School, Christian Clemenson moved to Los Angeles. Feature film roles soon followed for Christian Clemenson, including "Hannah and Her Sisters," "Legal Eagles," "Heartburn," "Broadcast News" and "Bad Influence." Additional credits include "Lost & Found," Armageddon," "Mighty Joe Young," "Apollo 13" and "The Big Lebowski." On television Christian Clemenson appeared in such series as "Murder One," "Cybill," "Mad About You," "Ally McBeal," "L.A. Law," "NYPD Blue, " "The Division" and "The West Wing," as well as the landmark HBO film, "And the Band Played On." Christian Clemenson's most recent television credits include "CSI, "Numb3rs," "Veronica Mars" and "Crossing Jordan." On Broadway, Christian Clemenson appeared in "Noises Off" and in productions at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Yale Repertory Theatre and the American Repertory Theatre. Christian Clemenson lives in Los Angeles with his two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and is active in the organization Meals on Wheels. Christian Clemenson is proud to have run the Los Angeles Marathon in 2005 in under four hours, and he is also a seasoned hiker. Whether while running or hiking, when it thunderstorms, Christian Clemenson smiles and is reminded of the road from Humboldt to Hollywood.
