Chuck Palumbo hosts "Lords of the Car Hoards" along with Rick Dore.

Chuck Palumbo, the 6'6" athlete and wrestling superstar, holds numerous world wrestling titles, including two WWE Tag team titles and four WCW World Tag Team titles. He left WWE in 2008 to pursue his passion for cars and motorcycles. As a longtime hot rod purist, Palumbo is in it to win it.

Palumbo grew up in West Warwick, Rhode Island, where he played basketball, football and baseball. He also boxed, wrestled and raced BMX until he was 16, finishing without ever being beaten — a perfect record! He graduated from West Warwick High School in 1989 where he earned first-team all-state basketball honors.

From the time he could walk, Palumbo was interested in anything with wheels and a motor. He terrorized the neighborhood on a hot rod mini-bike that he and his dad built when Chuck was 5 years old. When he was 14, Palumbo started working in an auto body shop on weeknights and weekends, trading his shop labor for shop space. He started building his first car at 15 and he was driving it the day he turned 16.

After high school, Palumbo joined the U.S. Navy where he learned the trade of aviation fabrication and eventually became an aviation structural technician. He served aboard the USS Carl Vinson working the flight deck in the Persian Gulf. During his free time, he worked as an auto body painter in Pacific Beach, California.

Palumbo built and rode the War Machine across country in 2009 and donated it at the end of the ride to Wounded Warriors.

After a successful four year tour in the U.S. Navy, in 1996 Palumbo enrolled in the Community College of Rhode Island where he earned All American honors in basketball, and continued to pay the bills building custom cars and motorcycles. His beautiful baby girl Charli was born that same year. Palumbo received a basketball scholarship from Central Missouri State University where he majored in criminal justice.

Although it was a difficult decision, in 1998 Palumbo gave up his basketball scholarship to become a professional wrestler after seeing a television ad for Ted Turner's WCW Powerplant Pro Wrestling School. After six months of training and occasionally wrestling in Japan, he signed his first contract with Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

At 6'6″, 280 pounds, Palumbo is one of the most athletic big men in the wrestling industry. He earned multiple tag team championships and one world championship during his time in WCW. The World Wrestling Federation (WWF) bought out Chuck's contract when it acquired WCW in 2001, and Chuck remained with the company when it became World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Chuck earned multiple championships with the WWF/WWE. In 2005 he left the WWE and joined All Japan Pro Wrestling out of Tokyo, Japan. That same year he started his custom motorcycle/car brand, CP Kustoms, building customs for celebrity clients including Rey Mysterio, Dave Batista and Chavo Guerrero.

Palumbo had his hands full juggling CP Kustoms and wrestling for All Japan out of Tokyo and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre out of Mexico City until 2006, when he re-signed with the WWE.

In 2010, Palumbo met his girlfriend, soulmate and teammate Laura, and credits her for being his biggest supporter. A man of many talents, Palumbo plays guitar in his San Diego based rock 'n' roll band 3 Spoke Wheel, continues to build cars and motorcycles at his shop CP Kustoms, and wrestles from time to time. He prides himself on his superhuman work ethic and on being a craftsman — "One man, one set of hands."
