Ciarán McMenamin stars in "Primeval" on BBC America as Matt Anderson.

Irish actor Ciarán McMenamin graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (B.A. Acting) in 1998. He was the recipient of the Kenneth Branagh Renaissance Award in June 1997 and also won the Gold Medal at RSAMD in 1998. He has been in several high profile films including "To End All Wars" and "The Last Minute," and he took the title role in the critically acclaimed "The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce." He also starred in "Outcast," filmed in Galway, Ireland.

McMenamin television credits in the U.K. include BBC's "32 Brinkburn Street," "Silent Witness" and "Truth Dare Kiss," and ITV's "Jericho" and "The Golden Hour," and Channel 4's "The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star," opposite Gerard Butler. Mc Menamin also played the title role in the BBC One TV movie "David Copperfield" with Danielle Radcliffe playing his character as a boy.
