Cohen Mangin from "Behind Bars: Rookie Year" stars in the A&E reality docu-series.

There is nothing easy about being a third-generation Corrections Officer in the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD), and that's exactly what 23-year-old Cohen Mangin is about to find out first hand. While the expectations are extremely high within his family, they may be higher within the department. But it's not expectations that Cohen is concerned with, it's the inherent dangers of the job. 

Cohen's strengths are the lessons that have been passed down through the generations, but they may have also created his biggest weakness; fear. For coming into the job with his eyes wide open has made him keenly aware that every time he enters the tiers, he his putting his life on the line.
