Cole Horibe from "So You Think You Can Dance 2012" is one of the top 20 contestants in Season 9 of the FOX reality dance competition. He is 26 years old.

Cole Horibe currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was born and raised. He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. After dancing for three years in high school, he quit dancing, believing he had relatively little talent in dance (as opposed to martial arts) and continued to train in various martial arts and studied acting — his career aspiration. Cole began dancing again 4½ years ago. Having studied martial arts for most of his life, Cole incorporates a martial arts flavor into his choreography — a dance style which he calls "Martial Arts Fusion."

Here is an interview with Cole:

Do you have a job?

I have been a bookkeeper for my father's hair salon, Hairscapes, for 6 years, and have been teaching dance for two years.

Are you in school?

I graduated with a BA from the University of Hawaii.

Do you have any formal dance training?

I have two years of Ballet, Ballroom, and Modern, and several years off and on of Jazz and Hip Hop.

At what age did you first start to dance?

13 through 16, then I quit and returned four and a half years ago.

What other training/talents do you have?

Martial arts, acting and writing.

What was your reaction to becoming a "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant?

Shock and slight disbelief — like an impossible dream come true.

What would people be most surprised to learn about you?

I've only ever had one girlfriend, which was six years ago, because I believe in the concept of one soul mate for life.

Which choreographer do you look forward to working with?

Travis Wall for Contemporary, Sonya Tayeh for Jazz, Nappy Tabs for Hip Hop, Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden for Ballet, Tyce Diorio for Broadway, Jason Gilkison for Ballroom, Donnie Yen for Martial Arts.

Which dancer from another season were you the most inspired by?

The top 20 of season 2.
