Colin Ferguson stars as Federal Marshal Jack Carter on SCI FI Channel dramedy "Eureka." The New York Daily News raved about his performance, "Ferguson's approach is fluid and funny enough to make it all work. He approaches the role as a cross between Bruce Willis and Clint Eastwood, with a mixture of laconic energy that somehow fits the role perfectly." Ferguson enjoys working on the cable series because of the hybrid tone of dark drama mixed with quirky comedic elements.
Born in Montreal, Colin
Ferguson worked in a variety of occupations before he turned to acting full-time; examples range from teaching high school, to planting trees in the Canadian North and even working as a mannequin in store windows. When he worked on the assembly line at several General Electric light bulb factories (parent company of NBC Universal), he never imagined that he would work for the company again as an actor.
Ferguson appeared in the romantic feature-film comedy "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore, and the television movie "The House Next Door," opposite Lara Flynn Boyle.
Ferguson's feature-film credits also include "Rowing Through," "The Opposite of Sex," "Guy in Row Five" and "The Surprise Party." He was a regular on the NBC remake of the hit British comedy series "Coupling" and the sitcom "Then Came You." His many guest-starring roles include "Line of Fire," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Crossing Jordan," "Becker" and "Titus."
Additionally, Ferguson has starred in other television movies such as "Mom at 16," "We Were the Mulvaneys," "Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber," "Ladies Night," "More Tales of the City," "Playing House" and "Christmas in Paradise".
Every Sunday for the last five years (when he's not shooting on location), Ferguson has gotten together with the same group of guys to play street hockey behind a local church. His love of travel has taken him to exotic destinations all over the world, and he recently bought an old house and is renovating it himself.
