Colin Hanks stars in "Dexter" on Showtime as Travis, a highly intelligent young expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami.

Hanks previously starred in FOX's "The Good Guys," as Jack Bailey, and was seen in a memorable role as Father Gill, a mysterious priest on the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning AMC series "Mad Men." Hanks will next be seen in the independent film "Lucky" directed by Gil Cates Jr. and co-starring Ann-Margret and Jeffrey Tambor.

Colin Hanks has quickly become one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors. His natural talent and raw energy have quickly secured his place as one of Hollywood's young leading men. He was seen in Oliver Stone's biopic "W," which chronicled the life and presidency of George W. Bush, the ensemble comedy "The House Bunny," starring opposite Anna Faris, and the Diane Lane thriller "Untraceable" from director Gregory Hoblit.

Additional film credits include "The Great Buck Howard" starring opposite John Malcovich, Universal's "King Kong," directed by Peter Jackson, Paramount's "Orange County," Miramax's comedy "Get Over It," with Kirsten Dunst, the independent films "Alone With Her," "Standing Still," "Rx," "11:14," "Whatever It Takes" and Steven Spielberg's award-winning 10-part miniseries "Band of Brothers" for HBO.

In 2002, Hanks appeared, to critical acclaim, in the theatrical performance of Kenneth Lonergan's "This Is Our Youth" at the Garrick Theater in London's West End.

He lives in Los Angeles.
