Cited by Pierce Brosnan as a shining candidate to portray the first black James Bond, leading British film and television actor Colin Salmon has made a name for himself with appearances as M's Chief of Staff Charles Robinson in "Tomorrow Never Dies" (1997), "The World Is Not Enough" (1999), and "Die Another Day" (2002).

Born in London, Salmon's early roles included the authoritative Sgt. Robert Oswald in the acclaimed television miniseries "Prime Suspect 2" (1992), where he commanded the screen opposite Dame Helen Mirren. It was subsequently through his performances in the James Bond films, that his international profile emerged and further roles ensued in features such as Paul W.S. Anderson's films "Resident Evil" (2002) and "Alien Vs. Predator" (2007), in which his role as Maxwell Stafford was written especially for him by Anderson. Colin has also appeared in Woody Allen's "Match Point" (2006), '80s nightclub-set, gangland drama "Clubbed" (2008), British heist thriller "The Bank Job" (2008) and Lexi Alexander's "Punisher: War Zone" (2008), inspired by the iconic Marvel Comics. More recently, he starred in the ensemble comedy "How to Stop Being a Loser" (2011).

In addition to his film work, Colin's recent, prolific television credits include the hit comedy series "Rev." (BBC2) and the role of civil servant James Middleton in military action thriller "Strike Back" for Sky Television. Further noted credits include the role of trumpet-playing Note Makoti "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" and guest roles in "Law & Order: UK" and the international sci-fi hit "Doctor Who." He also recently played the recurring role of Jerry Waters in VH1's "Single Ladies."

Colin often lends his richly reverberating vocal chords to voice-over work, and he is a also a highly-accomplished jazz musician and songwriter.
