Dr. Colleen Long is one of the hosts of A&E's reality series "Surviving Marriage."

Dr. Colleen Long is the founder of Mellow, which provides comprehensive ssychological services, and believes that we all are innately equipped with our own unique tools to create balance and well-being in our lives. However, therapy acts as a "how-to," identifying those specific unique tools (or strengths), and helping the client become skilled at using them throughout the course of their life.

Long works primarily with adults and couples in her practice, and strongly believes that although we fall in love — we all must learn to stand on our own two feet to truly cultivate sustained, meaningful, and loving relationships. Colleen works with individuals and couples to help them regain their footing.

Long received her doctoral degree from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Spalding, and a B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University. After researching the most salient principles of well-being with hundreds of patients, she wrote the book "Happiness in B.A.L.A.N.C.E; What We Know Now," and created the CD, "Meditation Medication for Everyday B.A.L.A.N.C.E."

She resides in Hermosa Beach with her family and "Boodah" the labradoodle, who has been known to make frequent appearances at Mellow from time to time.
