"Covert Affairs" Season 2 premiered on USA Network on June 7, 2011.

In "Covert Affairs" (USA Network), we meet Annie Walker played by Piper Perabo ("Coyote Ugly," "Beverly Hills Chihuahua"), a young CIA trainee who is thrust into the inner sanctum of the agency when she is unexpectedly promoted to field operative. While it appears that she has been plucked from obscurity for her exceptional linguistic skills, there may be something or someone from her past that her CIA bosses are really after.

In "Covert Affairs" Season 2, Annie's career continues to intrude on her personal life as she strives to balance "pseudo-normal" life with her high-octane adventures as a covert operative.

Christopher Gorham ("Ugly Betty," "Jake 2.0") plays Auggie Anderson, a CIA military intelligence agent, blinded while on assignment, and Annie's guide in this world of bureaucracy, excitement and intrigue. Peter Gallagher ("The O.C.," "American Beauty") plays Arthur Campbell, the formidable Director of Clandestine Services for the CIA. Anne Dudek ("House," "Mad Men") plays a married mother of two and is and Annie's older sister; Sendhil Ramamurthy plays Jai Wilcox; and Kari Matchett ("Invasion") plays Joan, head of the CIA's Domestic Protection Division who happens to be married to Arthur.

From Universal Cable Productions, "Covert Affairs" is executive produced by Doug Liman (the "Bourne" trilogy, "Heist") and Dave Bartis ("The O.C.") through Dutch Oven and written and co-executive produced by Matt Corman ("Deck the Halls") and Chris Ord ("Deck the Halls"). Tim Matheson (USA's "Burn Notice" and "Psych," "Criminal Minds") directed the pilot.

janndave says:
The show is fantastic even though in the first few seconds there's a huge faux pas. Someone jumping out of a plane at 2000' has absolutely no time to do any free fall much less what Piper does. Sad to start out with such a glaring error.
