Craig "Saw" Sawyer from "Battleground: Rhino Wars" stars in the Animal Planet reality docu-series. He is the team leader on the series and a former Navy SEAL.

"We're not afraid to go after the bad guys…" Craig "Sawman" or "Saw" Sawyer brings more than three decades of military experience to the battlegrounds of South Africa. Born in Southern Texas, Craig began his tactical skills career in the U.S. Marine Corps before transitioning to the U.S. Navy to pursue high-level Special Operations experience as a U.S. Navy SEAL, resulting in a promotion to SEAL Team 6 and decoration for "Heroic Service" in combat operations. Since then, Craig has served as a Federal Air Marshal Manager and high-threat tactical contractor in multiple war zones. He is also well versed in various forms of hand-to-hand combat fighting. Additionally, he has personally managed security teams for high-profile government officials including Hilary Clinton, Donald Rumsfeld and U.S. Ambassadors in overseas war zones.

Now retired from active duty, Craig owns and runs Tactical Insider, a company that provides training and technical consulting for Hollywood films, television and actors. He has contributed to news shows such as the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric," and Fox News Channel's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren." He also has been a frequent contributor on cable-television programs.

Between projects, Craig is an active Motocross racer and has won two local racing championships in Las Vegas. He currently resides in Tucson, Arizona.
