Craig Walsh-Wrightson stars in "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" on Starz as Solonius, reprising the role from "Spartacus: Blood and Sand." Solonius is Batiatus's (John Hannah) close friend, who, like Batiatus, would like to gain political footing in Capua.
During post-graduate studies in Modern History, New Zealand-born Craig Walsh-Wrightson joined public broadcasting as a documentary-maker, and then was headhunted by a national advertising agency as a writer and television producer.

Already an established voice-over artist and narrator before he took up screen acting, Walsh-Wrightson has also created dozens of radio and television commercial soundtracks as a music composer, lyricist and producer. He has written, produced (and occasionally directed) over 100 major commercials. He was featured as a primetime television show presenter/anchorman/interviewer.
Walsh-Wrightson is a four-time AXIS Award winner (the NZ equivalent of the U.S. advertising industry's 'Clio' awards) as a writer, art director, producer, and film director.
Walsh-Wrightson has shared Best Documentary honors in the NZFTA Awards (equivalent to the U.S. Oscars) as narrator of Television New Zealand's 6 x 90-minutes millennium production "Our People. Our Century."
Since moving to Auckland in 2006, Craig Walsh-Wrightson has guested on various television series, but Solonius, in his own words, "really is a character to die for." And he did. And then he lives again in "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena."
