Dap Maritz has spent more than 20 years in the South African Special Forces. Now retired from active service, Dap utilized his military training to start the Quemic Specialized Security Branch, an anti-poaching campaign that is responsible for protecting over 60-thousand acres of land based in South Africa. Utilizing very little resources, Dap utilizes out-of-the-box tactics that are crucial for patrolling the vast African landscape and apprehending poachers before they can make their kill.

Dap works in conjunction with local police and army units stationed in South Africa to intercept this constantly evolving and adapting enemy. His expertise in weaponry, tracking and bush craft as well as his experience with guerilla warfare are tested on a daily basis. With rhino poaching on the rise, Dap is on the frontline of defense for these magnificent animals by establishing who the poachers are and striving to constantly stay one step ahead of them.

Dap's main priority is the safety of anti-poaching units on the ground and halting the daily occurrence of rhino deaths. He is extremely grateful for the assistance from the U.S. Special Forces.
