Born and raised in Encino, California to a wholesale diamond dealer and a designer, Daren Kagasoff, who is of Russian descent, is the middle of three children. While attending San Francisco State University, Daren Kagasoff decided that what he really wanted to do was follow his dreams of being an actor. So, Daren Kagasoff headed back to Los Angeles and landed a lead role in the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center production of "subUrbia," a play based on the film of the same name starring Parker Posey, Giovanni Ribisi and Steve Zahn. Daren Kagasoff played alcoholic slacker, Tim, who struggled to find purpose in the inevitable ennui of suburban life.
