Darien Sills-Evans stars in "Superior Donuts" on CBS as James Jordan.

For more than a decade, Darien Sills-Evans has entertained audiences on stage and screen. First introduced to television viewers as Darien Hall on CBS's "Cosby" in 1998, he had recurring roles on NBC's "Third Watch" and HBO's "Treme." Additional television credits include "Person of Interest," "Blue Bloods," "30 Rock," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Bedford Diaries," executive produced by Tom Fontana.

Sills-Evans made his directorial feature film debut with the critically acclaimed "X-Patriots," in which he also starred. The film won the LA Weekly award for Best Screenplay in 2002. Also, he co-produced and starred in "The Reception," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2005. For his critically acclaimed turn in the film, he won the Best Actor Award at Outfest. Additionally, Sills-Evans co-wrote, produced and starred in "Rivers Wash over Me," and he played a leading role in the film "Big Words."

A prolific stand-up comedian, Sills-Evans has performed at The Comedy Store, Flappers, New York Comedy Club, Eastville and many other venues. He is the founder of the weekly show "Tipsy Hustle" at Brooklyn's Five Spot Supper Club. Also, Sills-Evans is a longtime national spokesperson for U.S. Cellular.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sills-Evans is an avid New York Mets fan and Trekker and splits his time between his hometown and Los Angeles.
